FRIED/GRILLED FISH

INGREDIENTS

1) 6 Fish pieces - of your choice 
2) Lime Juice - 4 to 5 Tablespoons
3) Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
4) Chilli Powder - 2 teaspoons (Reduce or Increase as per your requirement)
5) Carom Seeds (Ajwain) Half a teaspoon
6) Salt - 2 Teaspoons
7) Some cooking oil for shallow frying. 


DIRECTIONS

1) Wash and pat dry the fish pieces.

2) Place all ingredients (numbered 2 to 6 above) in a small bowl and mix well to form a paste.

3) Rub the paste all over the fish and make sure the pieces are covered well with the paste.

4) Cover and set aside to marinate for an hour or more. You may also marinate and place in the fridge overnight. 

5) Heat some cooking oil in a frying pan. The oil should be quite hot. Carefully place the pieces of fish in the oil to shallow fry. Fry in batches if necessary. Flip the fish over after frying for a little more than a minute and let the second side fry for as much time.

6) Remove fish from oil and place on absorbent paper. Transfer fried fish to a serving platter and serve with Rice, Roti, Paratha, Ugali, Chips or have it as it is. Enjoy!

FOR GRILLING

Add 2 teaspoons cooking oil to the spices when forming the marinade. 

After the marination period, place the fish on a baking tray lined with aluminium foil. Grill in a pre-heated oven flipping the fish over after 4 to 5 minutes to grill both sides evenly
